Treekly 400 million steps
Members and friends of the Rotary Club of Ballymena have reached an incredible 400 million steps on the Treekly App — a truly fitting way to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Ballymena’s Town Charter being granted by Charles I to William Adair in 1626.
Rotarians stepped out at a Civic Parade to celebrate Ballymena 400 marking this important milestone with the wider community. The Mayor of Mid and East Antrim, Cllr Jackson Minford, who is also a member of the Ballymena Club, led the Parade.
This milestone is a powerful reflection of community spirit, teamwork, and dedication. Every step taken has not only honoured Ballymena’s rich history but has also contributed to a healthier, more connected community
During this special year for the town, local Rotarians are also delighted that they have been recognised as the Number 1 Club in GB and Ireland, having now planted over 18,000 trees. This is a remarkable achievement for Club members, especially during Ballymena's 400th Anniversary.
